Cala Tarida

Day one fun at Cala Tarida- the beach right next to our house. We heard it was great for families and indeed, it was packed with families and -interestingly- groups of 8-10 women roughly in their 50s from all over Europe. Of course, there was much sand castle building and we were in the sun from about 11-5:00 and we had to drag them out of there. Lilly managed to nap for two hours in my arms under our umbrella. Winning.

First night dinner: Paella 🥘 and a sunset view

I think we're gonna like it here. {it's magical}

European Grill Problems

The kids were SUPER sick of pasta and pizza (never tougher I'd see the day!) by the time we left Italy. Meals had become a struggle. So tonight we went for hamburgers on the grill but with the sea breeze coming in, starting the grill took a lot more time and patience than expected.

But don't worry, even with all that fanning with the card form the car rental place (a lagniappe likely given because it took so dang long to get the car), he did NOT spill his wine.

Molly Finds

Molly was SUPER excited to find Mama's initials in the ironworks.

She is also fairly convinced that she was named after Molly Beach here. We tried to explain that we would have had to know it existed before now to have named her after it; but those details don't seem to matter to her. Yep, she was named after a beach.

New Home Orientation

VERY excited about our new digs. There's a little path of stairs down to the port and a view of Sa Verde(?) and the beautiful sea.
Lilly kept yelling "po!" (pool) and "bo!" (boat) and pointing to the Mediterranean. We all understood because we kinda felt the same way.

Play Doh Emojis in the Ibiza Airport

Getting the rental car took a lot longer than we expected and Lilly was a mess since we got off the plane. So, I produced a small container of green play doh from my suit case and ...voila! Everyone was happy for the extra long wait.
