Es Vedra

This magnificent rock rising from the Mediterranean ocean just south west of Ibiza is surrounded in myth and legend. All seems a bit silly, but some say it is the third most magnetic spot on Earth other than the North Pole and the Bermuda Triangle.

One thing is certain: Es Vedra player the part of 'Bali Hai' in the movie "South Pacific" and it is a gorgeous piece of Earth. So big shout out to Sue for being the reason I know about that movie and have a frame of reference to appreciate it beyond all the mystical stuff the Hippies of decades past put into play.

We started out at this beach today. That is, until the rocks under foot became too much for the kids to handle and we headed back to a darling family friendly beach a little closer to where we're staying. Just past the water line there are lots of larger rocks that were too much. Plus, this beach was packed, making it hard for the kids to dig their beloved beach sand pits. But it was inspiring while we were there!
