Evening in the River Banks

Dad and Lilly headed back to the apartment while Mom, Jackson and Molly had our hot chocolate at Angelina. Much to our surprise, the spot that the Batobus boat dropped us off was not a spot they stopped to pick up people. Bummer- but we just decided to cruise the river banks in our own. Thankfully, those two tired kiddos and worn out feet were buoyed with the idea that they each had a packet of sugar in their pocket.

Then to our delight- we found these mazes and labyrinths painted right into the ground and somehow these two rallied and ran around like maniacs, having a blast.

After a half mile or so, we saw that a Batobus was parked ahead. We ran to hop on and learned that they were really apologetic and had waited a little extra "to be nice, just this one time" they joked. I was so relieved that the kids didn't have to walk that extra couple miles home and only had to trippity trop across Île de la Cite over to Île Saint Louis to get home. Whew.

None the less, we had a lovely evening. 💕
